Do I need an internet connection to make a call or send a message?

Yes.

All calls must very briefly access our servers via your Internet network in order to establish the connection between your virtual number and your contact.

Please note that VoIP is enabled by default on your incoming calls, which means that incoming calls are routed via your Internet or Wi-Fi network.
