In the telecom industry, phone numbers get recycled. At Onoff, every number deleted by a user is placed in quarantine for at least 2 months before being put back on the market.
Even though the line now belongs to you, it's possible the previous owner forgot to unlink this number from their personal accounts on third-party apps (such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Vinted, eBay, etc.).
How do I fix this?
Onoff has no access to or control over these third-party apps' databases, so we can't force the old account to be removed.
To be able to use your number on these services, you'll need to contact that app's support team. Explain that you're the new owner of the phone line and ask them to remove the number from their database.
You can request a proof-of-ownership certificate from our support team if needed.
